  • A Carroll County Schools graduate, I am very happy and proud to be back home for my 7th year in education! I graduated from Bowdon High School way back in 2006, where I was a member of the Baseball team and the Marching Band. After high school, I moved on to the University of Georgia, majoring in Middle Grades Education with a focus on Math and Science.
  • While working with the UGA baseball team for my 4 years at UGA, I was blessed to be able to travel to the 2008 College World Series where we finished as the National Runner-up. Upon my graduation from UGA, I found a job in Jackson County, a school system just North of Athens, GA. For the last 6 years I taught anything from 8th grade math and science to 7th grade advanced and regular math. Truly an answer to prayer, I was able to get a job here at Central High School for the 2016-17 school year teaching Algebra I. I will also be coaching varsity baseball for CHS this spring!
  • The reason for staying in Athens for 6 years was the my wife, Amanda (also a graduate, 2005, from Bowdon) was completing 4 years of veterinary school at UGA and then a 1 year internship following graduation. She was able to land a job at Price Creek Animal Hospital in Bremen, GA and loves it! Of course, with my wife being an animal lover, we have 3 bearded dogs: Baxter, Oscar, and Betty. We have also inherited a homeless Chinchilla named Tina.
  • We now reside in Waco, just outside of Mt. Zion and are loving it!! I am super pumped about this school year and I know that it will be a great experience for me and for the students!
