Work Based Learning is a program that involves juniors and seniors that get out early or come in late to school in order to work. The ultimate goal is for students to be paired with a position that is in line with their career goals. Most of the students in WBL work between 20-40 hours per week in addition to their school responsibilities. Bowdon WBL students were treated to a "senior celebration" to celebrate success and review important information that they learned this year...fondly called "Morris'isms". The following seniors in Work Based Learning  have been in the program for a full year have met the guidelines to become GeorgiaBEST Certified: Ashton Davis, Hank Wardlaw, Taylor Reaves, TJ Fuller. GeorgiaBEST (Business Employability Skills Training) is a program that was created by and is administered by the Georgia Department of Labor.  It is training that is designed to address the lack of employability skills or soft skills or work ethic in today’s workforce.  For more information regarding GeorgiaBEST email
