Bowdon High School SAT scores Recently, schools had their SAT scores published for the graduating class of 2009. Bowdon's composite average was 1514, higher than both Georgia's state average of 1470 and the national average was 1509. Out of almost 400 public high school's in Georgia, Bowdon's total SAT average ranked 65th in the state. Looking specifically at math, Bowdon High School's average of 542 was the 26th highest in the state. "We are proud of these outstanding scores and our students. It is a tribute to our faculty for getting our students so well prepared and to the Bowdon community where high quality education is valued and expected," quotes Travis Thomas, principal of Bowdon High School.
